Snorre Redevelopment Field project shall contribute to increase oil production and maintain the robustness of the Snorre A, Snorre B and surrounding infrastructure.

The ambitions for the Snorre field are to increase the oil production with additional 50 Mm3 oil. This increase of oil production can help the Snorre field’s basis for increase the duration (lifetime) of the field up to several years (from 2022 to 2040).
The Snorre Redevelopment portfolio project is one of several contributors to reach these ambitions and the portfolio consist off 13 projects, from Business planning phase to Execution phase.

The position will be a member of the project team for the SNOREV Field topside work.

The Snorre 2040 project is one off several projects how are looking for solution to increase IOR opportunities in the Snorre and Tordis/Vigdis Fields. The projects shall work out recommendations for the long term Snorre infrastructure solution to improve cash flow and provide flexibility to implement future IOR and tei-in operations.

The Project is currently in the FEED phase with Foster Wheeler in London which will last until project sanction (DG3) 4Q 2010. Following this the Project will move to an EPC Contractor’s office either outside or within Europe, and to construction site in Algeria during construction, commissioning and start-up.

The In Salah Gas fields are located in central Algeria and include seven gas fields.

The Joint Venture Project is a phased development.

Phase-I is complete and came into production in 2004.
This involved the development of the three Northern Fields of Krechba, Tegentour (Teg) and Reg, to deliver the 9 bcma required by existing gas sales contracts.

A Compression Project to boost gas production from the three Northern Fields is in the final ‘Execute’ phase with construction underway at Teg, Reg and Krechba. Completion end 2010.

Phase-II – Southern Fields Development Project - will add the four Southern Fields of Garet el Befinat, Hassi Moumene, In Salah and Gour Mahmoud to support the plateau production when production declines from the first three fields.

The Southern Fields Development Project consists of the following elements:
- A central processing facility close to the town of In Salah
- 28 wells
- 53 km of gathering systems
- 112 km of wet 13 chrome inter-field pipeline
- 187 km of dry CS inter-field pipeline
- The 2nd stage of compression for the Northern and Southern Fields
- Additional facilities at an existing operational site, roads, permanent camps and infrastructure

The Lead planner will be a member of the Project Team reporting to the Project Control Manager.

Purpose of the job
The now Shell operated Ormen Lange field is the 3rd largest gas field in Europe. At peak production, Ormen Lange will deliver almost 20% of UK’s gas and establish Norway as the world’s second largest exporter of natural gas. Significant investments are planned in order to further develop the field, and Phase 2 of the project includes additional subsea templates, wells, field compression and compression pilot and plant modifications.

We are now looking to recruit a Construction Manager who will be responsible for establishing and managing a team accountable for safely and effectively planning and executing construction activities across a diverse portfolio of modification projects at the onshore gas plant at Nyhamna.

Dimensions
The position reports to the Site Manager and manages all constrution activities at site on behalf of Shell and is single point accountable for HSE and delivery.
This will be done through the use of the Shell Integrated Services Contract and other key contractors at site. The total number of personnel on site is expected to be in the range of 200-600.
The Construction Manager will be tasked to develop and manage a small team to support the execution of these accontabilities.

Accountabilities
• Plan and manage all construction and installation activities at site for both minor and major modifications through the use of key contractors
• Drive the integrated HSE improvement efforts at site working closely with the plant projects team, the operations team, Engineering & Maintenance personnel and key contractors.
• Monitor contractors HSE performance and support on HSE contractor management.
• Support and lead incident investigations
• Provide construction engineering discipline expertise and advice during the design, construction and commissioning phases of projects
• Develop the construction/installation scope of work and the construction execution plan
• Manage the construction and installation contracts together with other members of the company’s construction team
• Liaise with the operations team to ensure construction deliverables meet the necessary requirements, hand-over of systems is planned and managed efficiently and all documentation is in place to effect the final handover to operations
• Ensure that the design and construction interfaces and coordination are managed efficiently, facilitating a swift resolution for any on-site technical queries
• Verify compliance with the requirements of local authorities and regulations during construction activities
• Contribute to the management and control of changes to scope, deviations from specifications, costs, schedule and contingency planning

Dimensions
The position reports to the Construction Manager and supervise all pre-fabrication, constrution, installation and hand-over activities at site on behalf of Shell and is accountable for HSE and delivery.

The Construction Supervisor, E&I will be working closely with the Ormen Lange Project Site Team together with Shell’s key contractors to ensure effective and safe execution and compleations of activities.

Accountabilities

• restructuring information from existing electronic platform to Kompas (OJT’s)
• daily contact with team-leaders on- and offshore to challenge and facilitate effective management of competence requirements
• investigation of new requirements and their relevance for BPN operation and subsequently facilitating formal approval of same
• pro-active communication with team-leaders – ensure changes in requirements are understood and well prepared

Competence requirements
